>> VReader - kindle for the kids, By Akshay Sura (Edison, NJ USA) <<
My daughter loves this toy. She is used to using our Iphone and droid phones so it was easy for her to get used to this one. It's making me want to get a kindle.
We have a ton of books but while traveling we didn't want to carry them with us and so we bought the Vtech V Reader. It served itspurpose. My daughter uses it by herself. The word mole game is useful.
The transparent cover seems delicate, I am sure one of these days its going to break. The lack of rechargeable battery is a negative. We are running through a lot of AA batteries.
You can download books from the website but currently they have limited selection and only a couple out of those are worth it. The games you can buy have a lot more interactive elements, they also cost $20. Overall we will be using this toy everyday.

I got this Vtech V Reader for my three year old granddaughter and she absolutely loves it. It is extremely easy for her to use and she never leaves home without it. She sits with her one year old sister and reads to her. It's teaching her the love of books.
>> Great Interactive Reader, By Gaga (Boston, MA, United States) <<
This is so much better than anything I have seen out there for an educational toy! It is interactive and the screen is so vivid it is well worth the price! I bought 2 for my grandchildren (3 & 5 years) and also bought books for their particular levels with their favorite characters. Have not given to them yet but even I enjoyed it so I know it will be a hit! It's perfect! I also bought them the Mobigo which will hopefully replace Dad's iPhone they both want when in the car!
>> Excellent Source for Fun & Learning, By vle <<
I'm so pleased with this 'toy' and my 4 year old granddaughter loves her 'reader' - although she still wants to play with the iphone.
There are many different activities to do. We only have the one story that came with the reader, but we're excited to start building alibrary!
>> Keeps my 3 year old's attention!, By B. Salveron (Maryland) <<
We got this for my daughter and she absolutely loves it...it's one of the few things that holds her attention and is extremely easy for her to use. I was going to write a glowing review, but let me leave you with this: this morning, while getting breakfast ready, I asked her if she wanted to watch playhouse disney, her answer, "no I wanna use my book reader." That should be a good enough review for any parent...by the way, this doesn't eat batteries as quickly as many of the reviews say, another bonus.
